They have break the previous English record that has been setting by Nottingham Forest's record of 42 matches unbeaten after 26 years. They lose to Manchester United 2-0 through the goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy (controversial penalty) and a strike from Wayne Rooney in their 50 matches. They are being called 'The Invincibles' with 36 won and 13 draw from 49 matches.

They lose to Inter Milan 3-1 through the goals from Diego Milito (a penalty and a rebound) and a strike from Rodrigo Palacio, after leading from the very first minute through Arturo Vidal in their 50 matches. The team has been through with 33 won and 16 draw from 49 matches.
